A spoonful of sugar

Today my sisters and I had a tea party. It was delightful! We dressed up, spoke in english accents, put on red lipstick, drank lemonade and ate cookies. I think my favourite part was Rachel's homemade parasol. Enjoy :)

At the beginning of the week I decided I would call it lonely week. My parent's left on an anniversary get away to New York, Tim and his family left to Disneyland for one last family vacation and I  was left at home to babysit all my siblings. Alone. However as the week passed, it  turned out to be not so lonely. As a matter of fact it turned out to be rather lovely. So in conclusion of the weeks experiences I decided to give it a new name :

Lets Get Lost Tonight...

So over the past couple weeks, Tim and I have started the season Lost. At first I thought it would just be a fun thing to do, watching an episode here and there. However, an episode here and there has now turned into an average of three to four a night!  You know things are bad when we are on the episodes ahead of kimberly, or when I start dreaming that we were in a plane crash and now stranded on an island. It's official. We are complete junkies. It's only been a couple weeks and we are well on our way through season two (mind you, we never even get to hang out until 10:00.) Last night Rose and Bernard were reunited after thinking each other had been killed. It was so romantically glorious. Lost is more than a T.V. show, it is an experience. There are six seasons, will we finish all six within the next 28 days? If you would have asked me that question two weeks ago I would have said absolutely not. (I'm not much of a T.V. watcher.) But today, I will gladly accept the challenge. It's time to get Lost. :)

P.S. I know this might sound completely ridiculous, but since Lost is filmed in Hawaii, it is really preparing Tim and I for our future life there. Familiarizing ourselves with the island and what to expect will be a strength to us! ...Okay so maybe I'm trying to make myself feel better for watching so much Lost. But you have to admit, it's a rather clever justification.

Highlights

This week was wonderful, my family is wonderful and Tim is wonderful.

Special day number one : Love day! Valentines day is one of my favourite days of the year. This year my sweetheart took me out to lunch in Lethbridge and gave me flowers. (Flowers, there is nothing that makes my heart smile bigger.) What sets this Valentines day apart from previous ones is the person I spent it with. It doesn't matter what we do because anything I do with Tim automatically becomes my new favourite thing. What I did for him on that very lovely day was heart shaped sugar cookies. I made him a plate full that said "Your biceps are huge kiss me" ( it's an inside joke between us). I also made him a card and gave him a big bag of his favourite chocolate - mini eggs. I love Tim Zemp and I love love day!

Special day number two : This day was very very very special, and much more so than special day number one. (It just came later in the week.) It was the day that I went to the temple for the first time. I went with my parents, Tim and my new soon to be parents. I am so grateful that I have the privilege of going to the temple. It will help me prepare for many many things including the date of March 19th when Tim and I will be married. The temple is wonderful.

Special day number three : Today! There is no big event that makes today special. But as I count the days until the wedding, today is the first day in the twenties!! When we first got engaged there were 87 days until the wedding. Today there are 29. We are two thirds of the way there!!! What a wonderful thought.

The flowers Tim gave me :)

Euphoria

On Wednesday December 22nd 2010, the man I love most -Timothy Zemp- proposed to me. It was a day that I will remember forever. I’ve never had a “best days of your life” list, but as you could have guessed I do now! December 22nd 2010 takes an easy first with many more days to be added I’m sure. I don’t know how I came to be so lucky; Knowing that I get to be with someone so amazing and so perfect for me makes me simply sit back in awe. I LOVE Tim Zemp. If you’re wondering how we came to be, I still don’t completely understand it, but here is the proposal. Enjoy!

So first things first, Tim can be pretty tricky. He had me completely fooled this christmas. Before the holidays started, he came to me with a "concern".

" Jordan, I'm really sorry if your hopes are up, but I just wanted to let you know in advance that I don't have the money for a ring this Christmas. I hope you aren't disappointed."

Following his remarks I quickly reassured him that I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I knew things we're tight and wasn't expecting anything. A few days later, I was preparing to sing "Santa Baby" in the Cardston Christmas concert that very evening. Tim asked me if he could come watch me practice at the theatre. I warned him that it could be really boring, but he didn't care. ( Hehe I now know why.) As the concert drew closer, Tim kept saying things like " I'm so nervous!" I'd reply: "I'm not nervous, why are you nervous!?" And then Tim would say something along the lines that when I perform, he gets nervous for me. I was completely oblivious, I thought he was just being cute. Finally the concert had started and it was my turn to sing. As my song came to an end, the last line went like this:

Forgot to mention one little thing, a ring
I don't mean on the phone
Santa Baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight

It was while I was singing my very last note that Tim walked on stage. He was dressed ever so handsomely in his suit and red tie. The boys that were singing backup behind me all stood up in between us. Tim shewed them away with the comment " I only have one question." Then he got down on one knee and said the words I will never forget.

-Jordan Crawford will you marry me?-

I was completely overcome. My thought process when Tim first walked on stage was... what's tim doing on stage? When I saw the little box in his hand it was more... wait, is that what i think it is!? And then when he got on one knee,  the realization sunk in. I tried to come up with a word, that described my JOY/SHOCK/HAPPINESS/LOVE/EXCITEMENT, but was unsuccessful. There really is no word to describe it, I was simply overcome. One word I did find  will never do the way I felt justice, but it probably comes the closest. (specifically the last part ;)

Ma famille :)

My family is simply the greatest. I just love them! Moving to edmonton this past year made me realize how much I miss them. It feels so good to be home for Christmas, and I am so happy to be able to spend it with such wonderful people.

This is my family pretending to be civilized.

and this is how my family really is...

Kennedy: She is spunky, talented, and incredibly silly. Every time I see her I am amazed at how grown up she is becoming. What a beauty.

Spencer : She has many many special talents. She is my mini twin. Spencer is the most helpful kind person around. I just love the little cutie to pieces.

Rachel: Sweetheart. Nothing else needs to be said.

Bronwyn : She is the most sassy, smart and witty person you will ever meet, absolutely hilarious. You will never loose Bronwyn because you can always hear her, even from a miles away.

Eli: Okay so I just can't get over how adorable my brother is. He is going to be the biggest stud around.

Jack: He gives really good hugs.

The sisters: Snow White, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle and Cinderella

Brotherly love

My mother is so beautiful.

Parents : Wouldn't be anywhere without them!

These pictures were all taken by Danna Schaffer in our favourite neighbours backyard: Max Hardy. He is the sweetest man in the world.
