honey honey

So once upon a time Tim and I went on something called a honeymoon.
But see, it's really not just "some thing," I don't like to think of it as tangible, it's more of a state. Like a state of happiness; a state of blissful harmony. And I'm sure many of you can agree that it doesn't just end the week after you get married, or even the month after you get married. I see old couples in the "honeymoon state" all the time! The reason I am rambling on about this, is because this week we had our fujifilm camera developed. I wanted to share pictures from our "honeymoon" with you. But I couldn't simply say, "Here are some pictures from our honeymoon."
Because I don't believe a honeymoon ever has to end. So i'll rephrase:

Here are some pictures of me and my husband Tim!
They are the very first pictures we took as we started our new life together. Enjoy :)

Date : a social appointment, engagement, or occasion arranged beforehand with another person

This is surfin' Tacos.
You could call it the "hawaiian cafe rio."
It is divine; the sweet pork burrito with black beans is my favourite. Today we went on a group date with some friends: Tim, Skyler and Brooke. It was awesome. My single friends always complain about dating - I don't blame them - but once your married, dating rocks. It's my favourite thing. There is nothing better than cuddling and watching a movie (ehem harry potter) with your sweetie, or having a hot beach day with cold ice cream treats.

I love dating you Tim Zemp!

You are the best boyfriend in the whole world!

Sincerely
The Mrs.

A breath of fresh air

Goodness gracious.
It feels so good to be blogging again.
Life in the Zemp home has been a little crazy lately, and you know how I feel about crazy. I love it.
Last week my parents came and visited, it was AWESOME!
We talked, shopped, dined, drove, saw sea turtles, went to the night show, enjoyed sunshine, learned how to play the ukelele,
simply put, we indulged in each others company. It was fabulous, I miss them already.

As of right now, I am trying to catch up on a week's worth of homework that I definitely did not do during my parents stay.
Not only do I need to catch up, but I need to get ahead. Why do I need to ahead? Let me tell you! July 15th-25th (give or take) Tim and I are coming to visit CANADA! I cannot wait to see my family and friends! Are you ready to play? Because we are SO excited to see your beautiful faces again.
See ya in a few weeks!

This is a picture of me and Tim after our recent date in Honolulu. (Note: I cut my bangs.) We were a very happy couple on the beach after a frozen treat at Yogurtland. Seriously, if you havn't... TRY IT!

Sincerely
The Mrs.

truly scrumptious

Today for lunch I had my very first papaya. It was delicious.

I took this picture while I was eating lunch.
Is it just me or are papayas really attractive?
People should hang pictures of papayas in their houses, they totally beat the cliche bowl of fruit.

Sunshine

Here in Hawaii we have the most awesome neighbours. Their names are Shane and Ashley. Shane has his own photography business (Shane Harder Photography) and he does amazing work! The other day he asked us if we'd be willing to shoot some pictures with him so he could broaden his engagement pictures portfolio. We were thrilled to! He thought he was doing us a favor, trust me the pleasure was all ours! Here are some of my favourite pictures from the shoot. Unfortunately I slept in and it was windy so don't mind
the crazy hair :)

Hey babe you wanna play with me?

Please play with me?

That's it, you have no choice. Play with me!

 And the splashing begins

Okay you win! Truce?

Truce :)

Sincerely
The Mrs.

Oh baby it's raining.

The past few days here in Hawaii have been incredible. It's been raining non-stop, and thanks to it, I had my very first bike adventure.
I was riding my bike to campus when I came across a HUGE puddle. Huge as in 25 ft long and 2ft deep. I looked at the sea in front of me and decided that I had to options.

1. Go take the longer route to class
2. Charge through it

Considering that I was already late for class I decided to press forward. Bring it.  As I began to ride, the water level slowly started increasing. First it was just at my wheels, then my pedals, then my feet, and then, if you can picture it, just below my knees. Three quarters of my wheels were completely submerged. At this point, the resistance of the pedals increased significantly. It felt like my bike could tip over any second. I knew I had to pedal hard and fast if I wanted to make it out of there semi-dry. Did I do it? You bet I did! I hunched over my handle bars and gave everything I had. Finally, I came to dry pavement. I had the biggest grin on my face!... As did the man in the mini-van. He had been watching my struggle the entire time. I must admit, I probably looked really silly, but I felt like the man in the mini-van had a smile of encouragement. He had been cheering me on. Thank you man in the mini-van!

The rain has also brought back many wonderful memories:

Tess, remember when we danced in the rain in Europe?

Remember when the triple threat did the "Stand in the Rain dance?"

Remember when C.H.T did Singing in the Rain? With REAL rain? Taking out those finger waves was my favourite part of the night .

Yes. This was my first scene costume.

Babe, remember the other day? When we kissed in the rain? ...hehe of course you do.

What wonderful memories are associated with rain.
Thank you so much for rain.

BYU-H

Since this is now one of those mormon family blogs, I have decided to take my turn at blogging.

Jordan and I are chillin here in Hawaii, 30 steps from our private "bathtub beach" until school starts, in the meantime I want to make people realize what they are missing out on when they decide to go anywhere else for school than BYU-H.

Here are four videos from a great cinematographer named Devin Graham. All are made on location at BYU-H or other North Shore locations with BYU-H students.

This video is truly epic, watch for the new company called Jaseboards in the near future

Here's more...

Waimea Bay with BYU-H Students...still want to go to Lethbridge College? Still want to go to Edmonton? Cause even BYU can't compare....

Maybe you aren't into having this much fun.... I know these guys are having a blast..

Have fun wherever you are, but just think twice when planning where you are going to go to school
